Donor FAQs:
Why should I donate to the Peace & Justice Academy?
The Peace and Justice Academy is not like any other educational institution in Southern California or the world. With its emphasis on teaching students not to fear the world, but to embrace it – warts and all – it stands as a ray of hope in an often desolate landscape. Consider it an investment in the future!
What will my money be spent on?
Your donations help us give scholarships to students who are passionate about changing the world. We have never turned away a student who is consistent with our mission because of finances. You donations close the gap between what is costs to educate a student at the Peace & Justice Academy and what some families can afford.
Can I give to a specific need?
If you are passionate about a specific area of our program, for example the Peace & Justice Labs, science, service projects, etc., you may designate your giving. Please send us an email to discuss it.
How much does it cost to educate at student at the school?
Your $50 donation funds an entire day of school for one Peace & Justice Academy Student. Consider a monthly, recurring gift to fund one day a month. Think of it as your personal investment in hope.
Why should I give a monthly gift?
A monthly gift allows us to budget with the big picture in mind. Many times it is easier to just set a monthly contribution at a slightly smaller level (say $50 a month) than to write a check for the whole amount at one time.
